Todt Hill Road is a major north-south artery in the Castleton Corners, Meiers Corners, Manor Heights, Todt Hill, Dongan Hills, and New Dorp neighborhoods in the New York City borough of Staten Island. The construction of the Staten Island Expressway in the late 1950s severed the northernmost section of this roadway near Reon Avenue. Because of this, Todt Hill Road's traffic is forced onto Slosson Avenue north of Westwood Avenue/Fine Boulevard.[1]
Todt Hill Road transverses the highest terrain both in Staten Island and on the eastern seaboard. This area, known as Todt Hill, is one of the most exclusive and expensive neighborhoods in the boroughs of New York City outside Manhattan. Landmarks include St. Francis Friary, Staten Island Academy, Richmond County Country Club, and Moravian Cemetery.[2]
